NEW YORK and PARIS – November 18, 2016
The winners of the 7th Connect Awards were announced last Wednesday, 9th November in London at a ceremony celebrating Europe’s leading companies in Clean Energy & Sustainability, where EcoVadis was selected for the ‘Outstanding Leadership Award’. This award recognized EcoVadis and Co-CEO’s Frederic Trinel and Pierre-Francois Thaler for demonstrating the most impressive leadership, driving market transformation in supply chains with sustainability ratings.
The CleanTech industry has presented many challenges to its companies and investors in the recent past, but the consensus at the Connect Awards was clear: the renewables ecosystem has reached significant scale and the prospect of continued growth and innovation is undisputable. The event celebrated the achievements of some of the fastest growing and most innovative companies. Andre Shortell, Partner at GP Bullhound, commented, “CleanTech touches on so many human needs, including food, water, energy, waste and transportation. These individually are some of the largest industries in our economy, and the move towards resource efficiency represents one of the greatest opportunities for wealth creation.”
“It was incredibly inspiring to be among this group of like-minded entrepreneurs who are building the sustainable businesses of the future” observed Frédéric Trinel, co-CEO of EcoVadis. “We are grateful for the support of our fantastic team to achieve this recognition, and will carry this spirit forward to tackle the immense growth opportunity we are pursuing.”
